RC members retrofitting by carbon fiber wrapping

In this project, the method of outer wrapped steel is adopted, and the method of externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced wrap is adopted to reinforce and reinforce different parts and types of components.

Project overview

Shiling Thermal Power Co., Ltd. started construction in July 2004. It is a 4 storey frame structure. The strength of structural concrete is C25 grade and concrete strip foundation. Because the concrete standard test block is not qualified, it needs reinforcement.


Structural strengthening treatment method

The purpose of maintenance and reinforcement is to ensure and improve the reliability of the structure, to achieve the reliability level stipulated in the current national standards, and to meet the requirements of the function of the building. The method of maintenance and reinforcement should be selected through comprehensive analysis of specific conditions, and the comprehensive benefits of maintenance and reinforcement of buildings should be made as far as possible. In this project, the method of outer wrapped steel is adopted, and the method of externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced wrap is adopted to reinforce and reinforce different parts and types of components.

Summary

(1) in this project, the steel frame beam and column are strengthened by the method of outsourced steel, and the carbon fiber method is attached to the beam. The correct construction method can ensure the successful application of the structural reinforcement measures.

(2) the height of structural reinforcement is relatively high, and the strength of concrete is quite different. The reinforcement and protection treatment should be carried out separately.

(3) after reinforcement, it can meet the requirements of the 50 year base period under normal maintenance and use.
