Repair of roof cracks with carbon fiber fabric

Due to cracks in the three floor living room roof of the East unit of the project, the cracks in the building floor are non stress cracks, but the occurrence of floor cracks affects the integrity and durability of the structure. Therefore, carbon fiber reinforcement is applied to the cracked floor.

Project overview

The total area of the building is 10140m2, the number of layers are eleven layers on the ground, two layers underground, and the height of the layer is 2.90 meters. The main body is the shear wall structure, and the foundation is the raft foundation.

Externally bonded carbon fiber cloth


A, the carbon fiber sheet material is attached to the tensile zone of the beam and plate components to be flexed by bending, and the direction of the fiber is the same as that of the reinforcement.


B, using closed paste, U type paste or side paste to the beam to be shear reinforcement, the fiber direction is suitable for the axial vertical.


C, when the carbon fiber sheet is used to reinforce the structure, the live load on the structure should be unloaded.


D carbon fiber cloth, fiber stress direction of lap length should not be less than 200mm, when reinforced by multiple or multi layers carbon fiber cloth, or all layers of carbon fiber cloth lap staggered position.


E, cutting to size of carbon fiber cloth design requirements; surface glue prepared according to the proportion, and paste evenly on the part of the carbon fiber cloth gently pressed on the paste, using special drum along the fiber direction repeatedly rolling out of the bubble, the surface is fully saturated with carbon fiber cloth; should repeat the above steps multilayer paste on the surface; should be the last layer of carbon fiber cloth evenly coated with adhesive plaster.


F, The lap length of the F and CFRP fibers is not less than 200mm in the direction of the force. Carbon fibers of various or different layers when reinforced with multi or multi-layer carbon fiber cloth
